CSS CERTIFIED FACILITY

All bulls must follow the entry health requirements set by CSS-NAAB. Upon entering, all bulls are subjected to a Brucellosis, Tuberculosis, Leptospirosis, and BVD test. These tests can be processed by REI, or by your veterinarian (as long as you provide us with the results). We ask that you provide us with a copy of the registration papers for all registered livestock prior to animal's entry. This will allow us to complete the proper paperwork before the bull arrives. Each breed association has specific requirements regarding DNA and parentage verification for registering AI calves. Please ensure that you have, or are able to meet these requirements in order to register AI calves from your bull.

All bulls participating in CSS must be housed at our facility for a minimum of 60 days before we can begin collection of semen for CSS. All bulls must undergo testing for Brucellosis, Tuberculosis, Leptospirosis, BVD, Trichomoniasis, and Camphylobacteriosis. During the 60 day quarintine period the bull can be collected to obtain semen for domestic use. 

EXPORT SEMEN

Bulls that are having semen collected for export will be submitted to the same tests required for CSS, plus any additional tests required by the importing company.The length of time that your bull will have to stay in our facility depends entirely on the protocol set by the importer. Ask us for more details.

ON FARM COLLECTION

On-farm semen collection is available at REI. No health tests are required for this process.
